Miss Susan

Susan Kircher was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and began her early training at the age of four.  She attended various summer intensive programs including Ballet Austin, Joffrey Ballet, and Milwaukee Ballet.  Mrs. Kircher attended Purchase College Conservatory of Dance in New York where she received her BFA in Dance.  While there she performed twice with American Ballet Theatre Studio Company and worked with well known artists such as Robert Hill and Stanton Welch.  She has performed in various ballets such as The Nutcacker, Sleeping Beauty, The Red Shoes, Spring Waters, Firebird, and George Balanchine’s Star’s and Stripes and Serenade.  Susan danced professionally in Texas where she met her husband Chris who serves in the United States Coast Guard.  They have lived all over the U.S. and have two children together Alexandria (11) and Hunter (9).


In her free time, Susan enjoys traveling, hiking, arts and crafts, and spending time with family.


Although this is Susan’s first year with SSDA, she has been teaching and choreographing around the country for over 15 years.  She is excited to share her love and passion for dance with her students.
