Dance Instructor

Miss Jessica

Jessica Morales is originally from Jacksonville, FL. She recently graduated with a B.F.A in Dance from Old Dominion University. Jessica started dancing at the age of 5 under the instruction of Marta Jackson at Marta Jackson School of Dance. Her favorite genres are primarily modern, lyrical, and contemporary due to the progression of the styles and their evolution. Her training consisted mainly of Grahm and Horton styles. She danced with The Clay Ballet Theater for 4 years where she performed in Nutcracker, Gisselle, and Peter Rabbit. While attending The Marta Jackson School of Dance, Jessica competed for 8 years where she won several first and second place awards at Star System, Star Quest, Dance Educators of America, Encore and Urban Jamm. She has had the opportunity to train with numerous professionals, including Frank Hatchet, Irina, and Max Dvoronko while also attending other masterclasses.

Jessica has been married to her husband Anthony for 19 years, and they have two children Madelyne and Isabella who take classes at Shining Stars Dance Academy. Prior to joining SSDA, Jessica taught ballet for two years to students who loved dance but could not afford a normal studio setting. Jessica recently completed college and has been discovering a variety of other styles of dance. She is looking forward to sharing her love of dance with the next generation and is grateful to be a part of the SSDA family.
